SportPesa Racing Point

One of the most ambitious teams on the F1 grid, Racing Point has managed to outperform several more illustrious rival teams by finishing fourth in the constructors’ standings in 2016 and 2017.

Founded in 2007 when a consortium led by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya and Dutch businessman Michael Mol bought the Spyker F1 team, Force India has been competitive in almost every season since the team has competed in and has not finished lower than sixth in the constructors’ standings since 2013, an incredible achievement considering its operational budget.

Despite having all its 2018 points haul stripped up to the Belgian Grand Prix as a result of a financial re-acquisition led by Lawrence Stroll, the new team still managed to finish seventh in the standings thanks to sterling drives from drivers Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon.

For the 2018 season, Perez has a new teammate in the form of Lance Stroll and Acronis is proud to partner a team with ambitions of reaching the very top of the tree.

STRENGTHS: Massive amounts of passion and ambition with a brilliant racing ethos. New boss Lawrence Stroll has breathed new passion and energy into the team and is aiming for the top. In the Mercedes AMG Powertrain, they should have one of the best on the grid.

WEAKNESSES: Despite the massive ambition, it will be hard to match the budgets and workforce of those at the very top and driver Lance Stroll will be under pressure to match the exploits of the outstanding Esteban Ocon in 2018.
