Marta Garcia jumped to second place in the W Series Esports League table after winning two of the three races in the latest round of virtual racing at Suzuka.
19-year-old Garcia pipped runaway championship leader Beitske Visser by the narrowest of margins in a thrilling opening race around the iconic Japanese circuit before Spanish success continued in the reverse grid race, Belen Garcia becoming the sixth different W Series Esports League race-winner as Marta charged from last to fourth.
Marta then capped off a highly successful Round Seven by winning the final race of the day, meaning that her haul of 56 points -her best in a single round- enabled her to jump to second place above Irina Sidorkova.

Despite Garcia’s healthy points grab, there looks to be no catching the dominant and consistent Visser, who still leads the standings by 51 points with only three rounds remaining. And it could have been even better for the Dutch driver, who topped both qualifying sessions but found Garcia too tough a cookie to crack during the race.
Nonetheless, a tally of 39 points for Visser means she remains red-hot favourite for the inaugural W Series Esports League title, one that has been well received after the postponement of the series proper due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
What a finish! @martaracing takes the win! 😅
