Olli Caldwell returns to Prema for 2021 FIA F3 season

Prema Racing, partnered by Acronis, has announced that Olli Caldwell will join the team for his second season in the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship.

The 18-year-old British driver is no stranger to the highly successful Italian outfit, having experienced success in the 2018 Italian Formula 4 Championship with four poles and four wins. A step up to the Formula Regional European Championship followed, Caldwell notching seven podiums and one win in 2019.

“Really excited to announce that I will be competing with Prema in the 2021 FIA F3 Championship,” said Caldwell. “Having competed with the team in previous championships I’m looking forward to putting what I learnt from my rookie year to good use and continuing our history together in FIA F3.”

The 2021 season will mark Caldwell’s second crack at F3, and team boss Rene Rosin is confident the highly rated driver will further develop his career after re-joining from Trident.

“We look forward to welcoming Olli back to the PREMA family,” added Rosin. “Having worked with him in the past, we know he has a smart approach and can adapt quickly, which we expect to be a key skill with the challenging season ahead.

“In addition, he knows our work ethics and approach, so he is definitely a good fit for 2021. It is always great to see young drivers evolve with us throughout their career, and we are sure Olli will keep up the improvement this season.”
