Motorsport TechnologyFormula E has announced that Bridgestone Corporation will take over from Hankook as the official tyre supplier for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Starting a multi-year deal beginning with the GEN4 2026/27 Season, Bridgestone has been working hard behind the scenes to develop the all-weather POTENZA GEN4 tyre, that will meet the demands of the new era.
According to the official press release, the all-new tyre is ‘designed for high grip, long-lasting durability, and adaptability across diverse city street circuits and road conditions worldwide.’
And for occasions where rain plays a big part, Bridgestone has also developed the POTENZA GEN4 for TYPHOON TYRE.
This is ‘a heavy-wet specification tyre engineered to deliver maximum grip and stability during severe rain conditions, ensuring continuous, safe, and exciting racing in all-weather scenarios’.

Included in the partnership, Bridgestone will be the Official Race Title Sponsor for the rounds in Mexico City, Berlin, Shanghai and the season finale in Tokyo.
