With only six races of another enthralling Formula One season remaining, the Mercedes AMG F1 Team is finding form. Big form.
George Russell’s brilliant win at the Singapore Grand Prix means that second place in the constructors’ championship standings is almost within grasp. They are now 27 points ahead of closest rivals Scuderia Ferrari and 35 ahead of Red Bull Racing going into the USGP.

On top of that stunning drive and a debut season to remember for the impressive Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes has confirmed that partnership will now continue in 2026.

“We come off the back of a strong result in Singapore, taking victory with George and P5 for Kimi,” commented Wolff on the official Mercedes AMG F1 website. “Not only was that unexpected, our level of performance across Saturday and Sunday showed it was no fluke.
“That has been the story of the season somewhat, where it isn’t clear which team will be leading the way from weekend-to-weekend. We were also good in Azerbaijan so we are curious to see if we can maintain the step we have made with the W16 into this next run of races across the Americas.”
The stunning and challenging Circuit of the Americas offers a unique challenge, the Hermann Tilke designed track incorporating some of the best of Suzuka, Silverstone and Hockenheim and others.
“They are very different layouts and challenges to those two street circuits, so we are heading a little into the unknown, but that unpredictability is what makes our sport so enjoyable.
“The Circuit of the Americas, with its elevation changes, spectacular first turn, and mix of high-speed corners and slower traction zones, is a real test.”
