Season after season, there is always one midfield battle or two in the constructors’ championship that will grab attention until the end.
This year has been no exception, with WilliamsF1 leading the scrap for the title of ‘best of the rest’ for most of the way.
But, with a lean run in the last couple of races from the Grove outfit, others have closed the gap.
And with Isak Hadjar and Liam Lawson finishing seventh and eighth respectively in Brazil, the gap between themselves and fifth placed Williams is down to 29 points with three races remaining.

“The strategy worked well for us, so a big congratulations to the team – it’s been a massive effort to have both cars in the points today,” commented Lawson on the team’s official website. “The strategy worked well for us, so a big congratulations to the team – it’s been a massive effort to have both cars in the points today.”
Keeping up the momentum in the final races will be vital and intriguing for the neutral observer. Aston Martin lie ready to pounce, only ten points behind the Bulls and a resurgent Haas only two points behind them.
It all adds up to making it a mouth-watering finish in the fights for those all-important points, that can literally mean several millions of dollars for one place gain.
“I think we showed some good moments today despite having a tough race overall,” added Hadjar. “We struggled during the first stint and at some points throughout the race, I got stuck in traffic and had to play with damage limitation.”
