Organisers of the Hanoi Grand Prix have confirmed that the circuit has been completed ahead of next month’s inaugural Vietnam Grand Prix.
With all of the tarmac for the track laid last week, all that remains before the grand prix weekend is to erect the temporary structures, including the grandstands that are to be named after Vietnamese cities and locations.

“We are beyond excited to witness the extraordinary sight of Formula 1 cars racing on this incredible circuit,” commented Ms. Le Ngoc Chi, CEO of the Vietnam Grand Prix Corporation.
“It will be a moment of great pride for the whole team here at VGPC and a fitting tribute to the hard work that has gone in to ensuring the newest track in F1 is ready on time.”
Concerns still remain, however, about the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic that is affecting large parts of Asia as teams and fans prepare their travel arrangements for the race weekend from April 3-5.
“Preparations for the race are going ahead to the set schedule,” added Chi. “The F1 race in Hanoi in 2020 will take place as planned. We are of course monitoring the situation closely and will notify customers and media should there be any changes.”
